What Knock is

Knock lets you pair with up to six people. Tap someone's ember and their phone glows with your name and color. There are no messages, no photos, no feed, and no location sharing.

What we collect

• Account: You sign in with Apple. We store an anonymous account identifier and the first name you choose to share. We never see or store your phone number. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email," we never see your real email.
• Your pairs and knocks: Who you're paired with, and when knocks are sent. Knock records are automatically deleted after 30 days.
• Preferences: Your chosen color and quiet hours.
• Push tokens: Device tokens required to make your screen glow.

What we don't collect

No messages, photos, contacts, location, phone numbers, or advertising identifiers. Knock contains no ads and no third-party analytics SDKs.

Where data lives

Data is stored with Supabase (our database processor) in Frankfurt, Germany (EU region), and pushes are delivered by Apple Push Notification service. These are our only processors.

Deleting your data

Settings → Delete account removes your account, pairs, knocks, and tokens immediately and permanently. Blocking or unpairing removes the other person's ability to reach you instantly and silently.

Children

Knock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
