timbre — Support

timbre: keep the sound. Press and hold to record a moment; it becomes a colored stone that settles into your timeline.

How it works

• Record: Press and hold the ring on the Now screen. Release to keep it. Slide up while holding to let it go.
• Stones: Each recording becomes a stone — its color comes from what it heard, its size from how long you listened. Tap a stone to play it.
• Transcript: Words are transcribed on your phone. In Moment detail, tap a sentence to jump playback there.
• Timeline: Pinch or use Day / Month / Year to zoom through your field of stones.
• People & Places: Group stones by who and where. See total kept time and anniversaries.
• Heartbeat: In Settings, the playback heartbeat lets you feel a recording. Strong mode makes it feelable without sound.

Common questions

No transcript on a recording? The on-device speech model for your language may not be installed yet. The recording is still kept in full — the sound is the point.

Does anything leave my phone? No. See the privacy page.

Export or move my recordings? Settings → Export everything creates a zip of your audio, transcripts, and a data file to share or back up.
